Green Island - Dive and Snorkel
Introductory and certified divers can experience exciting underwater adventures at our specially selected dive sites, a short boat trip offshore from Green Island. Swim through coral formations and expect to see turtles, large rays, reef sharks, a variety of clams, corals and colouful fish species.
For certified divers travelling with family and non-diving companions, Green Island is an ideal option. You can dive while your family enjoys an abundance of island activities, including an introductory dive.
Green Island Dive & Snorkel Schedule
Sessions for introductory divers, certified divers and boat snorkel trips are scheduled daily at 10.30am, 1.00pm and 2.30pm.

Introductory Diving
Scuba diving is the best way to see the reef and no experience is necessary to take a fully supervised introductory dive. Our professional and experienced instructors will guide you through every aspect of your dive, allowing you to have a relaxed, enjoyable experience.
- Start your dive in the pool. It’s easy and fun!
- If you are considering an introductory dive please see our dive crew on boarding the vessel or visit the Dive Shop on Green Island. Pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment as places are limited.

Certified Diving
If you already have a dive certification, we will provide an experienced dive guide to ensure maximum enjoyment and safety and guide you to the best sites.
- Proof of certification is required C-card / log book.
- Certified diving is subject to availablity on the day of travel.

Boat Snorkel Trip
To experience the best snorkelling sites at Green Island, join one of our boat snorkelling trips. You will be taken to one of our four dive sites about 1.5km from Green Island to explore and swim amongst colourful marine life and coral gardens. Our snorkelling safety officer [lifeguard] is on hand to supervise and direct you to the best areas of the site.

Advice for Water Activities
The minimum age for Scuba Diving and Seawalker is 12 years. Certain medical conditions, medications and height restrictions may preclude some people from participating in optional in-water activities. For advice, contact our office. After a single dive a wait of 12 hours is recommended before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater. If doing multiple dives an interval of 24 hours is suggested.
Snorkelling can be a strenuous activity. Please use caution and inform our crew of any medical conditions

Maximum Depth: 14 m
Visibility: 5-20m
Site: Shallow canyons full of fish life.
Marine Life: Schooling fusiliers and rabbitfish, sweetlips, snapper, coral trout, variety of clams.

Three Sisters
Maximum Depth: 14 m
Visibility: 5-20m
Site: A collection of three bommies with the third almost split in two.
Marine Life: Fusiliers, rabbitfish, sweetlips, snapper, coral trout, soft coral gardens.
Deep Mooring
Maximum Depth: 25 m
Visibility: 5-20m
Site: Deep coral formations, swim throughs, often current.
Marine Life: Schooling barracuda and fusiliers,coral trout, sharks, turtles and large rays.
The Drift Dive
Maximum Depth: 25 m
Visibility: 5-20m
Site: Drift dive between the Deep Mooring and New York, or in the opposite direction.
Marine Life: Schooling barracuda and fusiliers, coral trout, sharks, turtles and large rays.
